With their season on the line, the Oklahoma City Thunder pulled off a stunning victory. By beating the New Orleans Pelicans in the elimination round, the Thunder kept their postseason dream alive. It came to no one’s surprise when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge for the franchise. The NBA All-Star guard was one of the leading scorers of the league this season. While he left many jaws dropped with yet another classy performance, he also had millionaire rapper Snoop Dogg feel a little reminiscent.

Watching the Thunder star’s incredible performance, the rap icon made a rather bizarre connection between himself and the 24-year-old. And it’s safe to say, the fans weren’t feeling Snoop this time.

Snoop Dogg sees himself in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

SGA showed out in arguably the most important game of the season for the Thunder. Dismantling the Pelicans’ defense, he finished the game with 32 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and a block in the 123-118 win. It was just another day in the office for the young phenom who became only the 4th player in league history to average 30 points, 5 assists, a steal, and a block per game in the regular season.

A diehard basketball fan, Snoop Dogg watched the Thunder’s nail-biting win over NOLA. In particular, he found SGA’s game reminiscent of someone the millionaire rapper knows very well. “The way he play? he kinda remind me of me? is what the 51-year-old music legend told ESPN after watching the OKC starlet’s dazzling display tonight.

Now, it does seems a little out of order. How can Snoop see shades of himself in one of the best NBA scorers today? Well, many might not know, but Snoop isn’t just a fan, but also loves to play the game. The rapper is 6’4″, only two inches shorter than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Similar to the OKC guard, he plays with fundamentals rather than anything flashy. In January, he went viral for showing off his dunking ability at the age of 51!

It’s obvious Snoop doesn’t have the talent that Shai Gilgeous Alexander possesses. However, there are a few similarities in their playstyle and body frame.

Snoop Dogg doesn’t get the ovation from NBA fans this time

Twitterverse went berserk after reading Snoop’s recent admission. They were in disbelief and even laughed at the very proposition. Unsurprisingly, the dedicated NBA fans trolled the 51-year-old.

Fans said, “No Snoop, stick to your day job”?

Another fan commented, “Dudes just saying anything”.

Some other fans decided to attack with sarcasm. A Twitter user claimed, “Lebron lowkey reminds me of myself”?

Here are some other methods fans used to rip apart the rap legend:
