“Still Have Some Ear Damage, Hearing Issues”: Michael Jordan and the Bulls’ Last Dance Gave Daughter Jasmine “Almost Scary” Memories in 2020

Being associated with the basketball legend, Michael Jordan is a huge thing on its own. And being the daughter of Jordan himself is as amazing as it gets. Jasmine Jordan is Michael Jordan’s eldest daughter. And obviously, a big fan of her father. But when looking back at spending time around her father during his career, she describes it a little differently than anyone else would.

Jasmine Jordan was born on December 7, 1992. And Michael Jordan was on a plane to Atlanta, to play against the Hawks. Still, MJ passed out cigars on the plane itself to celebrate his daughter’s birth.

Experiencing the fame of Michael Jordan

Jordan’s daughter was too young to understand how big of an icon her father was at that time. But now that she’s all grown up, she has more than just an idea about it. Right before the release of the last two episodes of ‘The Last Dance,’ Jasmine spoke to ‘The Undefeated’ about being raised by one of the greatest players of all time.

She talked about her views and opinions on her father’s docuseries. Jasmine described it as eye-opening and exciting. She mentioned how she’s becoming a fan of her father more than she already was.

Jasmine had just turned 5 years old during Jordan’s last dance with the Bulls in the 1997-1998 season. And was asked to share some of her memories about that time.

Jasmine said, “I think about the United Center just being so loud. And it was almost scary. I didn’t really understand why. I knew we were going to games and it was a family atmosphere because I got to be with my brothers and my mom. I just never understood exactly why at the time. It was just so loud.”

Arenas erupted at the sight of Jordan

“I feel like I still have some ear damage, hearing issues because of it. That’s just something I’ll never forget — the atmosphere and how crazy it really was,” she added. In retrospect, it wasn’t just United Center but every arena in the NBA would blast off at the appearance of Michael Jordan.

MJ won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls and a number of MVPs as well. But he did so much more than just win championships. Jordan is still an idol to so many fans and even players who are in the NBA.

He went on to become an idol for many. The things he was able to do on the court mesmerize people to this day.
