The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is around two-hundred points shy from overtaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s All-Time Top Scorer record. The record, for long, has remained untouched. Even by undisputed legends like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Though many are hyped for the Lakers forward, many analysts seem to criticize James for the Lakers’ losing record this season. One such is the famous NBA analyst and writer Bill Simmons.

The NBA analyst shared a video on YouTube, where he was joined by commentators Joe House and Chris Vernon. His comparison between James and a former Laker has caught the attention of NBA fans as they seem to support the 6’9 forward all over Twitter.

In the video, Simmons mentioned, “People are doing this ‘Nobody has done this before’. It’s amazing what he [LeBron James] is doing. I’m not conceding that. But guess what, Kareem did this. Kareem at age 38 was f***ing awesome. He was the best player in the 1985 Finals and I know that coz I went to the games.”

The Lakers made a new addition to the team by trading Kendrick Nunn for forward Rui Hachimura. Although the Japanese forward may be a great addition to the team, fans are not happy about the losing record. The Lakers stand as the 13th in the Western Conference with a 23-26 record and have a tough path to the playoffs.
