Devin Booker keeps on getting better. Over the last few years, Booker has shown fans why he is one of the best scorers in the NBA. Last season, Booker led the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Bubble to an undefeated 8-0 run. It was a sign of promise for the Suns. This year, they’ve only gotten better with Chris Paul. However, Devin Booker made history with the Suns and finds himself among elite company.

Devin Booker joins the elite

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker is now the fifth-youngest player to reach 8000 points in NBA history. The only players to achieve that feat before him are some all-time greats – LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and Kobe Bryant. Booker is truly in elite company with this record and will hope to emulate several of their other accolades in his career. This statistic will be a major vindication for Devin Booker.

Booker has been one of the most exciting young prospects in the NBA for a long time now. Having been in the league for almost six years now, Booker is yet to play in a post-season with the Suns. While the Suns have been languishing during his stint, they seem to be on the come-up. His rise to superstardom coincided with the Suns’ massive improvement in form over the last two seasons.

Booker linking up with CP3

Currently, the Phoenix Suns are one of the best teams in the NBA. They hold the second seed in the Western Conference, ahead of title contenders Lakers and Clippers. Furthermore, Devin Booker and Chris Paul have been playing fantastic basketball, both earning All-Star nominations this year.

The back-court tandem is quickly establishing themselves as the best backcourt duo in the NBA, along with James Harden and Kyrie Irving.

For Booker, he continues to average solid numbers this season. He is currently putting up 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. His numbers have been a huge boost for the Suns, as he is their leading scorer this season. The arrival of Chris Paul has allowed him to get better looks. Paul, being an excellent playmaker, gets Booker the best chances possible.

Can the Phoenix Suns win an NBA championship soon? It appears that they could be genuine contenders in the West this year. However, they probably need at least one more piece before they can be considered legitimate title contenders. But one thing is for sure – Devin Booker will be key to any Phoenix title run.
