“Suns Making the Same Mistake Nets Did”: LeBron James’ Ex-Teammate Could Switch Sides for Kevin Durant and Fans Are Not Okay With It

The Phoenix Suns are looking to ramp it up big time as the second half of the season is underway. The Suns made a huge move before the trade deadline, trading for two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant. The Suns now have one of the best starting lineups in the league but that isn’t stopping them from going all the way. And recent news of a five-time All-Star planning to join forces with KD in Phoenix surprisingly does not have fans excited.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Phoenix Suns are the frontrunners to sign Kevin Love to their squad. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Kevin Love have agreed to buy out Love’s remaining contract, which will make him a free agent.

Kevin Love is a five-time All-Star, a 2016 NBA champion, and had won the Most Improved Player award as well. Love is about the same age as Kevin Durant and is now considered a veteran rather than a star.
However, he can still be a valuable asset for the Suns in the power forward position. Although, fans are not on board with this move.

Not many fans were on board with the potential signing of Love to Phoenix. In fact, they pointed out that the Brooklyn Nets had done the same thing and failed.

Everyone is talking about how this move would be catastrophic for the Suns. But rarely has anyone talked about how things would turn out if this move does work out for the Suns.
Adding Kevin Love to the power forward position would help stretch and space the floor. Love is an excellent shooter from beyond the arc, which would in turn help Devin Booker and Kevin Durant a lot.

Love also has the ability to dwell extremely well in the pick-and-roll with Chris Paul who always looks for his open teammates. And let’s not forget Love’s full-court touchdown passes that he was known for while sharing the court with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
However, only time will tell whether this move was worth all the hassle or not. We would still like to hear your thoughts on this. Will adding Kevin Love help the Suns? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
