As per recent reports, there is a possibility of a reunion of Russell Westbrook with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving with LeBron James. Things are moving fast with the Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook trade. NBA’s official site reported that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets are discussing the possibility of a Kyrie Irving-Russell Westbrook exchange trade. While there are still hurdles in making this happen, the teams are actively engaged in trade discussions. 

Both pairs of players have had a bit of on-and-off friendships over the years. Westbrook and Durant had a rough patch after the latter left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors. Things were patched up later.

However, NBA fans on Twitter showed their creativity by predicting Westbrook’s response to Durant if the Lakers trade for Kyrie.

This is, of course, if Kevin Durant stays with the Nets himself. There are also rumors and doubts about his future in Brooklyn. And Irving’s departure could prove to be the final straw in Durant’s decision to leave the organization. So it’d be a nervous off-season for the Nets fans.

James averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.6 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game in the Finals. His outstanding overall contribution won him the Finals MVP award. Kyrie Irving shouldered the scoring with LeBron and averaged 27.1 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game.
