The Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks in six games to advance to the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Hawks had managed to keep the series alive after a thrilling Game 5 victory in Boston. However, that win also resulted in a major scheduling blunder by the Hawks’ home arena. After the Celtics managed to close out the series on Thursday night, star Jayson Tatum offered a sincere apology for ruining the schedule.

Trae Young went off in Game 5 to ensure the Hawks got at least one more game back in Atlanta this postseason. While that was certainly an exciting development, it caught fans by surprise when it was revealed that the State Farm Arena in Atlanta had made a big gaffe, which must have caused a headache to five-time Grammy Award winner, Janet Jackson.

In the post-game interview, Tatum said, “I wanna send an apology to the legend Janet Jackson. We were supposed to close out in Boston, she had to postpone her show. Hope she sees this, I apologize for that. But we got it done today,” added Tatum.

The 25-year-old star was clearly apologetic for not closing the series out a couple of days earlier. While the concert had to get postponed, Tatum and co. would definitely be pleased to be finally moving on to the Conference Semis.
