There is no one correct way of parenting. Ayesha Curry, wife of 4-time NBA champion, Stephen Curry revealed in an interview how the pandemic affected her parenting of her 3 children – Riley, 10; Ryan, 7; and Canon, 4 – and the life-changing decisions she made in light of bettering her kids’ childhoods after it.

Both Ayesha and Steph have been in the public eye for a while now. The About Last Night host had previously admitted that she regrets overexposing her eldest daughter, Riley, to the public and social media as a younger child — and how she would rather keep her kids out of the spotlight.

In an Insider interview, Ayesha admits that she now ‘regrets the overexposure’ and would likely take it back if she could. Now, the kids do not have any social media accounts or cell phones as a safeguard, but in the spirit of giving them a semblance of independence, they are allowed to have Apple watches.

She wants to be strict enough to protect her kids but does not want to take their freedom away completely. Dealing with such fears is not easy, but she admits, “We’re trying to figure out what that balance is. Just kind of learn as you go, right?

Dangers lurk outside electronic devices too

Though social media is a huge concern for her, the American-Candian actress reveals that she sometimes has anxiety about her kids’ safety even while dropping them off for school. She says, “Every time I pull up to their school for drop-off, I’m looking at the entrance, I’m looking at the exit, I’m looking around.” She’s trying to stay normal, but with the recent rash of school shootings, she’s “on edge“.

It’s hard to maintain normalcy with so much uncertainty around, but the Curry couple seems to have developed their own preferred routines to stay positive and thrive. They relax and recover from workouts together with cold plunges, sauna, and red-light therapy.
