Michael Jordan had an illustrious NBA career, in which he won six NBA championships. These championships came during his stint with the Chicago Bulls in the form of two historic three-peats. Jordan established the Bulls dynasty of dominance during the 90s, who were feared around the league. However, his sons, Jeffrey and Marcus, never made it to professional basketball. But they did have college basketball careers. Both Jeffrey and Marcus left basketball for different reasons in a span of eight months in 2012.
Marcus, Jordan’s younger son, played college basketball at the University of Central Florida. However, in his teenage days, Marcus was able to wear the same shoe size as his father.

Marcus Jordan attended Loyola Academy along with his elder brother Jeffrey. The duo led the high school to the conference championships. However, he later joined Whitney Young Magnet High School in Chicago for his junior and senior seasons. He then joined the University of Central Florida for college basketball. However, during his freshman year, Marcus wore Air Jordans, despite the university’s contract with Adidas. It led to Adidas terminating its deal with UCF.
Marcus endorsed his father’s shoes in his college days out of loyalty. He has recently revealed that he used to wear the same size as his father even when he was in seventh grade.
Marcus Jordan admits wearing the same size shoe as his father, Michael Jordan
In 2019, Marcus Jordan joined the ‘Full Size Run‘ podcast co-hosted by Brendan Dunne, Matt Welty, and Trinidad James. During the podcast, he discussed his father Michael Jordan, and the Air Jordans. At one point, Trinidad James asked Marcus if he remembered the first shoe his father gave him.
To this, he answered: “When I was in seventh grade, took the 19s from my dad. And this was like a year and a half before they came out,” Marcus Jordan said.

He continued: “There was samples, and we were wearing the same size shoe at the time. So I was like 12 and I’m wearing a 13 and he’s 13 obviously. So I took the 19s, and I played in an All-Star game and I’ll never forget it. Because he was at the game and it was the first time I ever missed a dunk and hung on the rim.”
Marcus averaged 8 points per game in his freshman year in college. However, he decided to leave college basketball in 2012. A year later, he graduated from college with a degree in hospitality management. He then went on to start Trophy Room in 2016 for high-end sneakers. However, three years later, he shut down the store and made it limited to just online sales.
