Will Smith has had a pretty eventful year. The popular actor recently appeared on the All The Smoke podcast hosted by two former NBA stars, Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, to address everything that has been happening in his life. During the podcast, the hosts questioned Smith about one of his most beloved works, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Soon the topic veered to the beautiful women who have worked on the show.

Barnes touched upon the number of popular celebrity actresses who once featured in the show which urged Smith to give an interesting explanation. Moreover, he also joked about running into trouble if he wasn’t married during that show.

Will Smith’s joke about popular show leaves former NBA stars wheezing

Will Smith has played numerous iconic characters over the years. However, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air still remains one of his most popular projects.

The show aired from 1990-96 while Smith was still very early in his acting career. It featured many different stars alongside Smith which made it a massive success. On the All the Smoke podcast, former Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers star Matt Barnes brought up the startling number of popular female actresses that were featured on the show.

According to Smith, this was because ‘it was the hot show’ at the time. Interestingly enough, while answering the question, he talked about how he would’ve ruined his life if he wasn’t married. This left Jackson and Matt Barnes giggling.

Smith said, “It’s the hot show, and you know, and you one of the handful of black shows on. So, everybody was coming through on Fresh Prince. Thank god I was married, I would’ve ruined my life for sure.”

“It’s too much power for one man too handled,” Smith further joked.

Alongside Smith, the show had eminent names like Nia Long, Tatyana Ali, Tyra Banks, and Karyn Parsons who played a huge role in ensuring the success of the series.

Smith makes his first appearance since the Oscars controversy

Will Smith made headlines earlier this year following his controversy at the Oscars ceremony. The host, Chris Rock, made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, which wasn’t taken well by the actor. Smith then proceeded to slap Rock live during the ceremony while millions around the world watched.

Although he has apologized to Rock, Smith didn’t make any major appearances after the scandal. Finally, fans could catch a glimpse of the the Oscar-winning actor on the podcast prior to his latest film’s release.
