The rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers made Tuesday night’s game all the more interesting. Jayson Tatum’s Celtics faced LeBron James’ Lakers on December 13 at the Crypto.com Arena. The Celtics defeated the Lakers by 122-118. LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers might very well be in a sour mood. However, a certain Boston Celtics legend couldn’t keep his calm after the dramatic win over the Lakers. Former Celtics superstar Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett got together and talked about the game on their podcast Ticket and the Truth.

In the podcast episode, Paul Pierce described the pressure of the game similar to being in a roller coaster. Both Pierce and Garnett agreed that the Celtics ‘still got the energy’. Pierce even stated that after the win over the Lakers, it didn’t matter even if the Celtics lost in the NBA Finals.

It don’t matter, when you got Lakers-Celtics, it’s always gonna be that energy,” proclaimed Pierce, comparing the intensity of the match to the NBA Finals. Garnett seemed to agree with the Truth’s sentiment, being a former player himself.

“That rivalry brings the best out of everybody else you know that. Look, it was just everything you wanted,” Pierce added. “That game gave me everything last night. It gave me Tatum going off, Brown going off. LeBron at his best. AD at his best.”

The game sure was a roller coaster ride as both teams proved to be tough opponents to each other. Pierce revealed that he was about to leave the game when he saw the Celtics lacking behind by double digits. However, he would probably be glad that he sat through the whole game provided that the Celtics emerged victorious!

Given the epic matchup, Paul Pierce obviously had to watch the game at the arena itself. After an intense game that put just about everyone on the edge of their seats, the Celtics defeated their rival team by a four-point difference. Shortly after, a video of Pierce celebrating the Celtics’ win surfaced on social media. Pierce was mocking LeBron James by imitating his signature celebration style.

Pierce could be heard saying, “That’s game, baby! Hey LeBron That’s game!”?

Jayson Tatum scored 44 points, nine rebounds, and six assists as he led the Celtics to the iconic win. Jaylen Brown added 25 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists.

On the other hand, Anthony Davis scored 37 points with 12 rebounds and three assists. King James added 33 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.
