The Los Angeles Clippers may have defeated the Boston Celtics in their last matchup, but they may have lost their superfan in the process. After the game between the Celtics and the LA Clippers, Clipper Darrell, the Clippers superfan, apparently got into a fight with a guard at the Crypto.com Arena post-game, and fans are in absolute disbelief to see a superfan being given such treatment.?

TMZ Sports released a video where Clipper Darrell, Darrell Bailey, and a security guard were seen getting into a scuffle which eventually led to the guard getting physical with him after the Clippers defeated the?Boston Celtics?113-93.

The security guard then seemed to hold Bailey off with his forearm near his neck. And as soon as Bailey tried to shove the guard’s hand off, he ended up punching him in the face, leaving fans in disbelief at the incident that took place.

One fan tweeted, ?So the security guard is getting fired right? That seemed like unnecessary force.?

Another fan commented, ?Just think. Had he just listened to orders by security this would have never happened. But when you are privileged you think you are above everyone.?

As for the incident, Bailey fell and crashed into an object after which he seemed to lose consciousness for some time. A statement was later given by Lee Zeidman, the president of Crypto.com Arena. He mentioned that the security guard was only trying to escort other fans and Clipper Darrell to an exit nearby.

Zeidman said, ?Clipper Darrell became involved in a verbal and then physical altercation. After receiving immediate medical attention, Darryl was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment.”

Zeidman?further?mentioned?that?the?employee’s?behavior?was?subject?to?an?investigation,?which?led?to?his immediate?layoff and subsequent arrest by the?LAPD. Bailey claims to still have severe headaches as well as being in excruciating pain.?

Furthermore, he is supposedly on medication to relieve some of that pain. Notably, Bailey has been a season ticket holder for more than two decades now.?
