One of the biggest surprises in the initial games of the 2022-23 NBA playoffs was the Los Angeles Clippers defeating the star-studded Phoenix Suns team on the road. The Clippers’ victory over the Suns ended up sending shockwaves through the NBA community, especially the performance put up by Russell Westbrook in the clutch. And now that the Clippers have managed to pull off the upset, the Inside the NBA?team reacted to a confident ?Brodie? striding into the arena prior to Game 1.

Even after a solid performance from Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, the Phoenix Suns could not win the first game of the seven-game series. And a lot of that credit goes to Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook. Moreover, Westbrook’s fit ahead of the matchup left the crew stunned.

Brodie leaves Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Co. in awe

The Los Angeles Clippers came out strong right out of the gate, ending the first quarter with a sizeable 12-point lead. Though the Suns managed to bring the score closer to the Clippers, it was Westbrook who sealed the deal for his team.

Now that ?Brodie? and the Clippers have defeated the Suns, the?Inside the NBA crew took a look at Westbrook entering the arena before the game. And they were left stunned watching the nine-time All-Star flashing his abs.

Russell Westbrook came into the arena in a yellow jacket and shorts, along with a locket on his neck. And the jacket in his outfit was wide open as the 2017 NBA MVP showed off his ripped abdomen.

As the video started rolling, Shaquille O’Neal and the rest of the crew could be heard gasping in absolute awe. That is when Charles Barkley said, ?I can?t remember the last time could take my shirt off in public?. Barkley also went on to say, ?That?s a case of beer, that ain?t no six pack.?

This was followed by the team showing a couple of hilarious tweets directed toward O’Neal and Barkley. They even played a clip of the Chuckster trying to do sit-ups, which left the crew is shambles.

Russell Westbrook took care of business

Looking back at Russell Westbrook striding into the arena before Game 1 just shows how confident he was. And he surely did not disappoint his teammates and fans of Los Angeles. Though the 6?3 point guard did not have a good night on offense, he more than made up for it on the defensive end. Westbrook was a pest throughout the game, putting the clamps on Kevin Durant.

He even came up with a clutch defensive play on Devin Booker which may have sealed the fate of the game. Now the Clippers have the advantage and pressure on the Suns going into Game 2.
