Despite earlier reports of Jeanie Buss’ apparent decision, Jovan Buha from The Athletic has revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers are willing to give up one future first-round pick for Detroit Pistons star, Bojan Bogdanovic. The Pistons are reportedly looking for an unprotected first-round pick to move forth in the trade deal. While the Lakers have agreed to give up one draft pick for Bogdanovic, it will be a lottery-protected pick to ensure they have a fair deal.

“Detroit’s Bojan Bogdanović continues to be the name most often tied to the Lakers in league circles, but the Pistons are looking for an unprotected first-round pick, at a minimum, in a potential trade, according to league sources. The Lakers’ preference is to only give up a lottery-protected first for the 34-year-old Bogdanović, though that could change when up against the trade-deadline clock,” Buha wrote.
