The Brooklyn Nets have shocked everyone with their unexpected losses. No one expected Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to struggle so badly in this series. The Celtics have gone up 3-0 in the series and have a chance to end it in game 4. This indeed was a redemption that has so far gone great for the Celtics.

In the last postseason, Boston lost the first round versus the Nets in game 5. Though this time, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown stepped up to crush down Nets’ hopes. Kevin Durant seemed off from game 1 itself. His inconsistency in this series does not match his playoff averages.

“Kevin Durant left Golden State and Steph Curry for this. Now he’s still a two time champion, he’s still a two time Finals MVP. One of the greatest players in basketball. But we’re going to look at the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry and we’re going to say: That’s why you left? For this?'”

Durant has not been consistent at all this series. Kevin was off in game 1 and 2, as he shot only 31% from the field in both games combined. In this series he is averaging 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists on a 36% shooting from the field. Whereas the Warriors have gone up 3-0 versus the Nuggets. Steph, Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson have figured out their offense and are unstoppable at this point.

Is there any chance of Kevin Durant and the Nets coming back in this series?

The record for a team to come back after being down 3-0 is 0-143 in league history. The Nets have a chance to make history which will be the best comeback in sports or going down in history as the team who lost in the first round despite having the most skilled duo. It will be a tough task, but it’s not impossible.
