After a career for the rafters, Bryant took on the role of a father. His baby daughter, Gianna was just like her dad, a basketball enthusiast. However, tragedy unfolded in the Bryant household. In 2020, Kobe, Gianna, and seven other passengers were involved in a fatal helicopter crash in Calabasas in 2020. The NBA universe was left with a void.

He has been missed ever since his untimely demise. Now, the Los Angeles Lakers great would have turned 44, and many came forward to send their wishes. Among them were his wife, Vanessa Bryant, LeBron James, and also Jake Paul.

Likewise, as Bryant would’ve celebrated his 44th birthday, the Brooklyn Nets guard shared an emotional message. In addition, his wife Vanessa Bryant also pinned down a message for her late husband saying, “Happy birthday baby! I love you and miss you so much!”.

To top it all off, he was a voice for women’s sports as well. The Black Mamba helped pave the way for the WNBA’s growth. Pushing his daughter to make it one day, he observed the women’s game closely. In addition, Kobe even said that some WNBA stars could give NBA players a hard time. A goal-oriented individual, Bryant never held back on his efforts. He even earned an Oscar for his short film, ‘Dear Basketball’.
