In an intense monologue in one of the episode segments, O’Neal revealed how he got humbled for life.

While talking about his new HBO mini-documentary dubbed ‘SHAQ,’ the 4x NBA champion got emotional and reflected on a dark time of his life. Moreover, O’Neal made a profound statement that summed up his arduous journey of self-improvement. O’Neal said, “The day I humbled myself is the day I became more free.” The Hall of Famer then revealed how he embarked on a journey to reprove himself. O’Neal’s relationship with ex-wife Shaunie Henderson had its highs and lows. But the two hit rock bottom when Shaunie, along with their kids left O’Neal after rumors about his infidelity came to light. The Lakers legend found himself alone with all the success in the world. Thereafter the harsh reality hit O’Neal and became one of the defining moments of his life. 

After heeding his mother’s words, O’Neal decided to humble himself. After embarking on his self-improvement journey, things started turning around for good. O’Neal confessed after opening his doors, “the family and me came back around.” O’Neal revealed how the 90,000 sqft of rich marble ‘Emptiness’ came back to life after he killed the ‘narcissist’ version of himself.
