The Dallas Mavericks cracked one of the biggest deals of the season by acquiring the 7x NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving ahead of the trade deadline last week. Irving’s addition to Luka Doncic & Co further strengthened the offense front. Additionally, recent reports suggested the possibility of another veteran power forward joining the Dallas side. However, the trade update ignited varied opinions among the fans.
The Mavs currently have one of the most potent offenses in the NBA. The Slovenian star has been in red-hot form, dropping high scores consistently. Moreover, Doncic produced four 50-pointer games before February. Furthermore, the 24-year-old’s new ally Irving seemed to be working well in tandem. The Mavericks are 4th seed of the Western Conference with a commendable 31-27 record, keeping their playoff dreams alive.
