“The Godfather of Bad Contracts”: Months After ‘Tampering’ Controversy, Ex-NBA Champion Set to Be Tossed Aside by Miami Leaves Sports World in a Tailspin

As the trade deadline comes a close, many teams are looking to make changes to their roster in order to make a push towards qualifying for the NBA playoffs. And one of the teams that are looking to make serious changes is the Miami Heat. After getting their second-round pick docked by the league for violating tampering rules, the Heat are looking to get rid of the ex-NBA champion, Kyle Lowry.
With a 23-20 record, the Miami Heat are in the eighth position in the Eastern Conference. And a lot of that has to do with the constant nagging injuries the Heat have had to deal with this season. Which has led to a lot of their key players missing out on games.

As the trade deadline nears, the Heat are looking to get rid of Kyle Lowry’s contract, which will pay his $29.6 million in the 2023-24 season. The Heat have been linked with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves in a trade involving Lowry.
Fans, on the other hand, are not happy with Pat Riley, the president of the Miami Heat, for giving out bad contracts to players.
