The Brooklyn Nets have managed to win their last two games against Utah Jazz and the Golden State Warriors without their main star Kevin Durant. Kyrie Irving has lead the team from the front along with his teammates. There’s no doubt that Irving has filled in for his injured teammate and has shouldered the responsibility of the Nets’ scoring. Former Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Garnett had a few words for the Nets guard after his game-winning performance against both the Celtics and the Jazz, which prompted NBA fans to question the media.

The ‘Big Ticket’ has never failed to shout outt the current youngsters and the veterans in the league. KG also took time to mention the players, Scottie Barnes from the Raptors, Tyrese Maxey from the 76ers, and Anthony Edwards from the Timberwolves for their crucial roles this season. Meanwhile, fans believe that KG is doing what the media must do.

In their face-off against the Golden State Warriors, Irving put up 38 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds to seal the win. Along with Irving, Nic Claxton played a crucial role by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Stephen Curry and Jonathan Kuminga‘s 20-point performances were not enough for the Warriors to get past the Nets.

Kevin Garnett’s tweet praising ex-Celtics Kyrie Irving has garnered the attention of the fans. The former Celtics star didn’t show any reluctance in praising Kyrie, who has often attracted flak from Boston fans due to his failed stint with the Celtics. The Brooklyn Nets are currently 2-4 in their last 6 games. Though the Nets went on a 4-game losing streak in their first four games without Kevin Durant, Irving has taken things into his own hands to lead the way. He has shut down the hate talks this season by averaging 26.4 points and 4.9 assists with a field goal percentage of 48.3% from the field. 

Irving drops 48 points against the Utah Jazz

In their game against the Utah Jazz, Irving came big-time with his 48 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists to end the losing streak. Irving has kept his word by assuring the Nets’ fans not to worry due to KD’s absence after their loss against the Thunder. Durant on his Twitter appreciated the 6’2 guard for filling in during his absence.
