After defeating the Sacramento Kings in the 1st round, the Golden State Warriors progressed to the Conference Semifinals for round 2 of the playoffs. On Tuesday night, the defending champions went up against LeBron James‘ Los Angeles Lakers for Game 1. Ahead of one of the most anticipated face-offs in recent memory, a heartwarming clip of Stephen Curry‘s teammate emerged on social media and is successfully drawing the NBA world’s attention for all the right reasons.

The Warriors did not have the best start in Game 1 and lost to the Lakers 112-117. Curry dropped 27 points whereas, Anthony Davis led the Lakers to victory with a game-high 30 points.

Adorable video puts an end to false rumors

It only seemed like yesterday when NBA star Andrew Wiggins‘ mysterious long absence became a topic of interest for many. After continued silence from the Warriors and Wiggins, speculations began taking form regarding the possible reason behind his absence. Soon afterward, rumors about infidelity spread like wildfire. Many believed that Wiggins was having family issues after he found out that his girlfriend, Mychal Johnson, had cheated on the Warriors star with his best friend.

To make matters worse, questions regarding Wiggins’ daughters’ parentage arose as well.?However, the rumor died down soon enough and Wiggins eventually returned to the court and joined his teammates.

Minutes before Game 1 commenced, Wiggins took some time out to practice his shots on the court. What made the video special was the presence of Wiggins’ ‘cheerleaders’. Sitting on the near-empty courtside seats were the 2022 All-Star’s partner and daughter.

The heartening video of the Wiggins family didn’t take long to win the Twitterati’s hearts soon after it went online. One fan recalled the unpleasant rumors that had circulated weeks ago and wrote, “The rumours yall started out of thin air was truly some nasty work”. Following the defeat, the Warriors will be facing the Lakers in Game 2 on May 4 at Chase Center.
