Many analysts and experts had to think about where Stephen Curry ranked on the all-time list after he got his fourth title. Some elevated him to the top 10 while a few put him in the Mount Rushmore of basketball. People even compared him with LeBron James. But one expert had ridiculed such claims and has said that the gap between LeBron and Curry is huge.

With Curry winning his fourth title, the comparisons started between the two great players commenced. LeBron has been in the league for a long time, but having the same number of titles as Curry was called into the question.
However, longtime NBA analyst Colin Cowherd put those observations to bed. He recently shared his views about the comparison between the two.

Cowherd says LeBron James and Stephen Curry are not in the same class

Colin Cowherd spoke about the vast difference between players. He said, “You gonna tell me you wanna put Jayson Tatum and Luka in the same club as LeBron? You’ve better have a VIP room upstairs with only LeBron in it. … The gap between Steph and Tatum is the Grand Canyon, the gap between LeBron and Steph is the Grand Canyon.”

“You can’t just be throwing guys in the there because they have back-to-back really nice years and they’re All-Stars. There’s a million, a lot of people in movies are movie stars, there’s one Tom Cruise.”

Curry is definitely making a serious push towards LeBron’s status as the player of this generation. The player has undoubtedly had a great career, but the last two years have been a down year for him. And this year, he had a historic season individually, but his team did not even make the playoffs.

However, Curry still has a long way to go in terms of statistics. LeBron is miles over Curry in almost every major statistic except for the three-point record, in which Curry is the unanimous leader. Hence, his career ahead will be interesting to follow. What do you think?
