“These Two in the Same Team Unfair!”: Fans Go Berserk as LeBron James Teams Up With NBA All-Star, Who Could’ve Been a Laker, in the Drew League

In the Drew League, DeMar DeRozan has been showing great performances, but this time he brought someone that changed the game. On entering the court with DeMar, we saw LeBron James, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Fans were thrilled to see James participate in this event. Nevertheless, when the pairing of the players became apparent, few were disappointed and few were excited about the match.

A great performance by James was shown at Friday’s long-standing pro-am basketball tournament. There were many highlights to watch as DeRozan and James joined MMV Cheaters. There was a great deal of excitement in the game. 

103-102 points were shown on the scoring board near the end of the game when there were only 5.5 seconds left. Black Pearl Elite was expected to take home the victory. However, it didn’t go according to plan.

With the excitement rising, Ethan Alvaro hit a three-pointer that gave the James’ team a spectacular win. LeBron James showcased his talent for all to see as he scored 42 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and stole four passes. Meanwhile, DeRozan had 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.

He discussed what happened when the Lakers traded for Russell Westbrook. Furthermore, ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk revealed a few statements during an episode of Brian Windhorst’s ‘Hoop Collective’ podcast that shocked social media. According to him, the Lakers went with Westbrook rather than DeRozan. His comments were as follows:

I talked to someone from DeRozan’s camp. When DeRozan was in town in L.A., and he basically stuck it to the Lakers. The impression that I got from his camp was that DeRozan felt that the Lakers were in sort of disarray. They didn’t really have a vision. They didn’t know what they were doing.”

During the Drew League match, fans got a taste of what could have been for the Los Angeles LakersThere have even been mentions of saying: “These two in the same team Unfair!”

Aside from this, fans were also disappointed because, in an interview with ESPN, Drew League commissioner Dino Smiley said Kyrie Irving would join James in the game preceding James and DeRozan. However, it didn’t happen.
