Stephen Curry comes from an athletically gifted family. The Golden State Warriors guard?s parents were athletes and his siblings, Seth Curry and Sidel Curry have also been involved in sports. Steph and Seth aimed to follow in their father?s footsteps into the NBA. While Stephen made it to the league in 2009 as the seventh overall pick, Seth went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Drafts.

However, Seth continued to fight for his NBA dream and he has finally made it. Notably, Seth had once revealed that he despised being called by his brother Stephen and Klay Thompson’s nickname during his time in the D-League (now NBA G League).

Seth Curry had an entirely different journey to the NBA than his brother. The Brooklyn Nets guard moved to the D-League to play for Santa Cruz Warriors in 2013 after remaining undrafted in the NBA.

He did play one game each for the Memphis Grizzlies and the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2013-14 season. Unfortunately, no team offered the younger Curry a definitive deal at the time.?

Brother Seth hated Stephen Curry and Thompson’s nickname

During his interview with Vault in 2015, Seth made a shocking revelation about one thing that he despised a lot. After his single game with the Cavaliers in 2013, Seth moved back to the D-League to play for Santa Cruz, scoring 44 points in a playoff game, a little over a week later.

Once, Seth was paired with Klay Thompson’s brother Mychel Thompson and everyone around them called them using Curry and Thompson?s nickname. Seth Curry said, ?They called us the Splash Brothers and everything. I hated that stuff. It was so corny. We didn?t even have our own nickname.?

Seth seemed to be greatly frustrated by people failing to identify him for who he was, rather than whose brother he was. However, he kept going and finally became an established player in the NBA.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are known as the Splash Brothers in NBA circles. They are considered among the greatest shooters in the sport?s history. Curry and Thompson got together at the Golden State Warriors in 2011. Since then, they have won four NBA championships for the franchise in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022.
