Do not sleep on Ja and the Grizzlies
The Grizzlies did not push for some massive trades or marquee free-agent signings. Instead, they stuck to their young squad and trusted that they can develop. They did lose two key players- Kyle Anderson and De’Anthony Melton. But they have added a bunch of rookies.
The Grizzlies’ bench was their strength last year, and it looks like it was as deep as ever. They did manage to sign Steven Adams and Ja Morant to extensions. They have a lot of young stars with huge potential and the front office believe that they can take the next step.

And the most important player is undoubtedly Morant. He was sensational last year and he will be keen to take another step. Morant will need to focus more on his defensive side and he will cement his place as one of the best in the league. The Grizzlies may look tame right now, but do not sleep on this young squad.
