Dennis Rodman was a rebounding magician in the NBA, but he had a terribly difficult time dealing with relationships. Rodman found it difficult to make his relationships work, ending up with three ex-wives and multiple short-term relationships. However, one of his marriage disasters cost him a precious thing in life. Back in 2019, the Chicago Bulls legend claimed that he could not talk to his daughter Alexis Rodman for 20 years.

Alexis Rodman was Dennis Rodman‘s first daughter with his ex-wife Annie Baker. Baker and Rodman began dating in 1987 and Alexis Rodman was born in 1989, after which the pair got married in 1992. However, their marriage did not even last three months.

Back in 2019, Dennis Rodman appeared on the Breakfast Club podcast. The 5-time NBA champ opened up about his relationship with his daughter Alexis Rodman. During the conversation, the host asked Rodman to describe his relationship with Alexis Rodman at the time. The Worm admitted he was not around for his daughter when she was growing up.

Further, Rodman shared that the differences in his marriage with his first wife, Annie Baker, that led to his separation from Alexis Rodman. The NBA Hall of Famer also reckoned that his relationship did not end because of infidelity from any side.

Dennis Rodman added, “It’s more like okay great, I found a bigger better deal so they take your money, take your baby, take your everything, and the next thing you know, you have to put them in jail, the baby was in foster care.”

Rodman revealed that his failed marriage was a major reason for his absence from his daughter’s life. He reckoned the two did not talk for almost twenty years. It was very hard for Rodman to meet with his daughter for the first time after so many years, as he had no idea what to say to her. It seemed like Rodman felt sad about not being a part of his daughter’s life while she was growing up.

Luckily, he reconnected with Alexis after many years and continues to have a good relationship with her. In addition, Rodman’s daughter also appeared in his documentary, “30 on 30 Rodman: For Better or Worse”.
