The Los Angeles Lakers have lost the first three games of the season. Fans around the league are criticizing the Lakers’ front office for not making certain changes. The majority of the blame has been directed toward the team’s point guard Russell Westbrook and his ill-advised plays.

The Lakers could’ve won their last game against the Portland Trail Blazers if it wasn’t for Russell Westbrook’s poor decision on the court. Even the broadcasters seemed unhappy about the decision he made in the final minute of the game.

The Lakers might make changes sooner than they had hoped for

Rob Pelinka, the vice president of basketball operations and general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers, told the media that they would wait till Thanksgiving to make any roster changes. But as the team is playing, they are struggling quite a lot from beyond the arc. So the front office may have to jump in sooner to bolster the roster before things get out of hand.

Recently, the Lakers were in talks to sign 10-year veteran Maurice Harkless to the team. Though, there hasn’t been much follow-up on that lately. But it seems as if the Lakers are interested in signing San Antonio Spurs guard Josh Richardson.

Richardson is a 6’5 shooting guard who has played eight seasons in the league with five different teams. Richardson is a career 36.6% three-point shooter. This may be one small move by the Lakers’ front office to improve their shooting.

However, fans did not seem hyped by the team’s decision. One fan tweeted, “Lol they’re always one step late I stg.” While another fan commented, “Who gives a damn the lakers don’t have anything to trade they can be interested in everyone but no one is interested in anything they have other than those picks.”

LeBron James acknowledges the struggles

The Lakers are 25-118 from the three-point arc this season. Even superstar LeBron James said, “We can’t shoot a penny in the ocean,” on the Lakers’ three-point shooting struggles. Although LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been contributing as much as they can, it still does not seem to be enough.
