For the Los Angeles Lakers, this season is not proving to be as successful as many hoped. Following up on recent matches, they are still struggling despite having the three best candidates on the team. Shaquille O’Neal released a statement regarding the current situation of the Laker’s team.
He obtained information from an insider and went on to say, “I’ve heard from a powerful source inside the [Lakers] organization…they’re right where they want to be. They’d rather play Phoenix in the first round than Golden State”.

Regarding the current situation, it isn’t wrong to think this way based on the source of the information. Especially when it comes to comparing their current performance with the previous year’s performance. Things aren’t looking good. Due to injuries, LeBron James and Anthony Davis were not on the court during last year’s championship. Despite missing many games, the Lakers were in good shape during the playoffs.

As the Lakers set the series at 2-1, Davis had one of his best performances. However, the Lakers suffered a marquee setback as a result of his injury, which followed in Game 4. Afterward, the Phoenix Suns dominated the Lakers. The Lakers were eliminated by the Suns within six games.
Is Shaquille O’Neal’s source accurate regarding the Lakers?
As a result of the Suns’ current performance, they are considered the best team in the league. However, they did lose in the previous season. That was when they fell short against the Milwaukee Bucks. However, Chris Paul and Co. are right on the comeback trail.

On the other hand, the Lakers are sitting at ninth place in the Westen Conference. As a result, the big question is whether or not they will even make the playoffs.
