Is this the downfall of the Warriors dynasty? The latest departures are hinting towards it. Ever since their playoff exit against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Warriors have let go of some of its main stars. Not the players, but from the front office. The departure of the Warriors GM, Bob Myers, who played a massive role in the Dub Nation’s last four championships, did a number on the Warriors fans. Now, another exit of a core Warriors staff member has stunned many.

Several contract extensions are still pending for the core of the franchise. Steve Kerr, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson are a few of them. Though Stephen Curry wants to bring back the main players of the dynasty for at least another year, the latest departure doesn’t sound very promising.

4-time champion and Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers quit the Warriors a few weeks back due to personal commitments. Crucial additions such as Andrew Wiggins and Kevin Durant, who helped the Warriors win multiple championships, were pulled in by Myers.

After a disappointing end to their postseason run this year, the Warriors were expected to make some major moves in the offseason for another championship run. However, with the 48-year-old’s exit, the Warriors’ future stands in doubt.

Another crucial piece of the Warriors was their assistant coach, Jama Mahlalela. The 42-year-old was the director of player development. Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney, and a few other stars benefitted hugely from Mahlalela’s assistance. Now Mahlalela and the Warriors have decided to part ways. The Toronto Raptors have hired the 42-year-old coach.

Considering the departures of the crucial members, the upcoming season doesn’t sound very promising for Golden State. A Warriors insider revealed, “The loss of Jama is big. Things are falling apart.” The uncertainty surrounding their young core has also been a major cause for concern for fans.

As they are entering this critical off-season, a few crucial pieces have already left. The next outgoing could be Jonathan Kuminga. The 20-year-old won a championship with the Warriors in his very first year. However, he was not satisfied with how the team used him this season. Especially in the playoffs.

Kuminga hardly got any minutes in the postseason. During their series against the Los Angeles Lakers, several reports revealed he was ‘frustrated’ as he did not get any minutes. After Steve Kerr decided to subtly call out the young core of the Warriors, Kuminga shared a couple of cryptic posts on Instagram, which left fans wondering about his future.
