It’s a surprising stat that Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has dropped only one shot from the deep in his entire career. The 7 ‘1 legend relied more on his aggressive gameplay and scored almost all of his points within the three point line. However, 12 years after his retirement, Shaq created a Stephen Curry moment after he dropped an unbelievable bucket in front of a rousing crowd. Following his incredible bucket from the deep, DJ Diesel took to his social media with a special caption.

After his retirement, Shaq became a successful NBA analyst alongside his partner Charles Barkley at TNT. Apart from his media business, the big man also has various tricks up his sleeve, and one of them is Disc Jockey. The 4x NBA Champion began his disk-jockey stint to satisfy his hip-hop passion, but he has only grown into a star DJ.

Golden State Warriors super star Stephen Curry has a reputation for his seamless buckets from the deep. Along with Steph, another Warriors star Klay Thompson has also held expertise in the same forte. In fact, Thompson has the record for the most number of three-pointers dropped in a single game. Subsequently, the duo earned the title ‘Splash Brothers’ for their magic.

Moreover, Shaquille O’Neal recently cracked open the Splash Bros’ reputation after his unbelievable bucket in his recent DJ festival. DJ Diesel’s IG handle shared the video of the bucket with a hilarious caption. The caption read, “I told y’all I’m the black Steph Curry.”

Despite his domination on the paint, the big man’s unusual record still baffles the basketball buffs across the globe. 

When did Shaq drop his only three pointer?

Shaq stands in the 8th place for the all-time points scored in the NBA with 28,596 points. Whereas in his 19-season-long career, he has only attempted 22-pointers and out of which one throw fetched him three points. The only three-pointer came during his last season with the Orlando Magic and he dropped against the Milwaukee Bucks in February 1996. Notably, the three-pointer came in as a buzzer beater in the first-quarter. The Magic went on to dominate the game and defeat the Bucks with a 121-91 game.
