In response, many countries around the world have offered relief aid and rescue workers to the people of Turkey and Syria. Due to the magnitude of the quake, it is considered one of the most powerful events to happen in the region for a century. Buildings crumbled during this 7.8 magnitude earthquake, resulting in many people being injured and the death toll is still rising.
