In February, this season, the Bulls announced that Ball will be out for the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old had to go through another surgery in March.

On the back of the procedure, the point guard was ruled out of a significant part of the upcoming season. Besides, word got out that the procedure can even force Ball to retire. Turns out Lonzo Ball might not return to the hardwood again. Now, a Chicago Bulls beat writer, Dan Bernstein has reported the Bulls don’t believe the 25-year-old will ever play again as no player has returned to the league after going through a cartilage transplant in NBA history.
