The NBA postseason is getting more exciting with every game. The Los Angeles Lakers dominated the Memphis Grizzlies to make their way to the Conference Semifinals. Lined up to play against them are the Golden State Warriors, who beat the Sacramento Kings in an epic showdown. Now that the first round is done, fans are getting excited to see LeBron James and Stephen Curry battle it out again in the postseason after years of matchups in the NBA Finals. The legacies of both basketball icons are woven together, and one cannot talk about the greatness of either of them without mentioning the other.

LeBron James‘ Cleveland Cavaliers made a historic comeback from 3-1 down against the Warriors in the 2016 Finals. To this date, it arguably remains LeBron’s greatest achievement on the basketball court and Curry’s biggest disappointment. Despite the Warriors winning the next two NBA championships at the expense of the Cavs, Golden State fans are worried about the Dubs going up against The King and his Lakers.

Lakers set to clash against Warriors in an “epic battle” after three decades

While this is the first time in 32 years that the Warriors will be going up against the Lakers in the postseason, the team is all too familiar with Lakers superstar LeBron James. In the post-Game 7 press conference, Stephen Curry spoke to the media about the anticipated matchup and facing LeBron in the semifinals.

Chef Curry began by addressing the roller-coaster ride in round one of the playoffs, saying “It’s amazing because you’re still in the fight. It’s better than the alternative of being on the outside looking in and, you know, having been down 0-2 in this series, like nothing’s guaranteed. You don’t take anything for granted.”

He then moved on to talk about the upcoming game, sharing, “It is special to know from the first series we played him getting in Cleveland 14-15 season to now, we are blessed to be playing at this level still and excited about a new chapter. Two teams trying to keep the season alive and chase the championship, that’s what it’s all about.”

Stephen Curry and the Warriors playing LeBron James has fans worried

While many of the Warriors fans were inspired by Curry’s humble demeanor, there were still fans who are worried about the Warriors’ chances against LeBron. It seems even though the Warriors and their superstar point guard have proven themselves time and again, it has not done much to settle their fears.
