Shaquille O’Neal shares his experiences of wrestling

In the new episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Shaquille O’Neal joined NFL veteran Pat McAfee and others to discuss a variety of stuff. In the last moments of the shoot, McAfee poked fun at Shaq by reminding him how everyone saw him falling off a ring at the AEW Dynamite wrestling tournament. He added, “I thought you broke every bone of your body,” before enquiring about his experience.

The Big Diesel responded by saying, “You know what’s crazy about that? When I was preparing for that, I had a table with a pad under it. So, you know I like doing my own little moves and stunts, it felt good. So then when I got to the arena, I was like ‘Where’s the pad?'” O’Neal confirmed that there was no pad and continued to narrate, “I was like, ‘You know what? Since we already said we’re gonna do it, we’re gonna do it.'”

McAfee was talking about the mixed tag-team match where Shaquille O’Neal and his partner Jady Cargill faced off with Cody Rhoades and Red Velvet on AEW Dynamite in 2021. The match ended with an intense climax as Rhoades and the Big Diesel broke a table after landing on it together. The Big Man confirmed at the end of his story that it had hurt alright – but Cargill and him won the match.

However, Shaquille O’Neal didn’t stop with that tale. He went on to invite The Big Show and Rhoades to another challenge.
