Sonya and Dell Curry have played their part in shaping basketball history. After all, they are the parents of four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry! During a recent podcast featuring superstar moms, Sonya Curry poured out her emotions for her eldest son while also complimenting Ayesha.

She said, “I see him with his wife, that fills my heart like no other. He is such a champion for her, so supportive. How family is so important to him, and the biggest compliment that I get from other people is that when you meet him and you talk to him, it is like no one else is in the room.”

Sonya Curry went through great troubles while raising Steph. In fact, she once also confessed that she was very close to an abortion! Thankfully, she changed her mind and raised her son in the right way.

“‘Y’all effed this up,’ I could have that approach. But it’s going to be an acknowledgment of both of y’all in terms of how y’all raised me. The calmness I have in myself is because of y’all,” said the 2016 Unanimous MVP. Following their divorce, Dell and Sonya Curry attended their sons’ games separately.
