The Golden State Warriors are back in full flow. The performance on Saturday night was proof of the quality the Warriors possess. With Stephen Curry still out, the Warriors needed a win to guarantee playoffs. Klay Thompson and co did that in tremendous fashion, that too at home.

The Warriors snatched the victory from under the grasp of Utah Jazz. Utah Jazz started the game brilliantly and were dominant most of the game. All of the first half was all about what the Jazz are doing well. They had a constant lead almost all game. Even in the 3rd quarter they were in control. But the game just slipped out of their hands.

Although the third quarter ended 36-29 in the Warriors’ favor, they were still behind the Jazz by 6 points. It was in the fourth quarter that the tide of the game changed completely. The Utah Jazz were in the lead for almost all the game. However when the Warriors grabbed the lead for the first time in the game with 3:30 remaining on the clock, they made sure the game was theirs after that. Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson came in clutch to rescue the game for the Warriors.

Fans go berserk as Klay Thompson guides Warriors to an important win

There is still time for Stephen Curry to get back to full fitness and play for the Warriors. However Saturday’s resurging display would make the other teams think that the Warriors are a strong team with or without Steph Curry. With talents like Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson, Warriors will always be a dangerous side.

Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole were brilliant with their 36 and 31 points respectively. The fans were obviously delighted. So much so that they went overboard to say that it’s time to bench Steph!

Obviously a fit Steph is not a player you can bench so either it was ironically said or as a joke. Other than that the fans were elated by the display.

Klay and Poole went off in the last quarter. The lead changed only once in the whole game and that was when the Dubs made a comeback from a 21 point deficit. Trailing 103-87 with just under eight minutes remaining in the fourth, the Warriors rattled off an 18-0 run to take a 105-103 lead with 2:10 left. Thompson hit three 3-pointers during the stretch.
