LeBron James is one of the most athletic players to ever play in the NBA. There was a lot of hype around James when he was in high school because of his unbelievable athletic ability. And when he was drafted straight out of high school, it looked like he belonged in the NBA. It wasn’t like a kid going up against men. On the contrary, many NBA veterans were manhandled by his freak of nature athletic prowess.

LeBron’s accomplishments have always made him around the “GOAT” debate. Millions of fans around the world and even a lot of celebrities believe that LeBron James is the “GOAT” of the NBA. And NFL legend Shannon Sharpe is one among them.

In the “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed” show, he has openly confessed many times that he believes James is the “GOAT.”

But his co-host Skip Bayless has always maintained that Michael Jordan is the “GOAT” of the NBA. And he has been labeled by the fans as a “LeBron hater” for his comments about James. But recently Skip admitted that King James could have been an All-Time great in the NFL.

In the recent episode of the “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed” show, Shannon was talking about Luka Doncic. He was discussing LeBron’s comments about Luka being his favorite player under the age of 25.

Shannon said that Luka and James are alike in a lot of things. He stated that Doncic’s stats are actually a bit better than LeBron’s at the same stage. And he also said that both the players were asked to do everything for their team from scoring, rebounding, and assists.

He said that Doncic’s numbers baffle him despite him not being very athletic. And Skip admitted that. But he went on to talk about LeBron’s athleticism. He said James was taller, stronger, had a good leap, and was quick for his size. He said that it is not possible to stop LeBron during a fastbreak situation.

Then Skip said, “He is a huge human being at 6 feet, 9 inches tall. That is why I have always said he could have played your (NFL) sport. The punishment factor is whole another issue. But I believe as a red-zone threat, he would have been All-Time All-Time. I don’t know how you can stop because he is 6’9 and he can leap.”

Many people in the past have said that LeBron would have been a great player in the NFL. Even coaches from the NFL have said that he would be great as a wide receiver. And that the Lakers superstar has all the tools for it.

LeBron himself is a fan of the sport. But we will never know how good he would be on a football field unless he pulls a Michael Jordan type of retirement to play in the NFL.
