The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals, largely because of Lonnie Walker IV’s decisive performance in the fourth quarter—during which he went 6 for 9 from the floor. With just under two minutes remaining, he made a crucial jump shot. The Warriors were within one point after Stephen Curry’s layup. However, Walker made two free throws to give the Lakers the victory. Despite having a seven-point lead into the last quarter of play, the Warriors have currently fallen behind 1-3 in the series.

Meanwhile, despite Stephen Curry putting up an impressive performance during the game, NBA analyst Charles Barkley wasn’t too happy with the Dubs superstar’s clutch showing. The Chuckster didn’t mince his words while calling out Curry’s performance in the dying seconds of the game.

The ‘Inside The NBA’ crew recently got together to share their insights on the recent postseason matchups. They skimmed through the highlights of the game, offering their commentary. The focus ultimately veered to Stephen Curry. Curry recorded his third triple-double in the playoffs in Game 4 against the Lakers. However, Lonnie Walker IV made a crucial contribution in the fourth quarter to secure the victory, negating Curry’s accomplishments.

Curry reduced the Lakers’ advantage to one point with just over a minute left in the game with a layup. However, it was not enough to secure the victory. Walker stepped up and gave the Lakers the victory with two crucial free throws on the next Golden State possession. This was after the star guard missed two crucial 3-pointers. Despite the Warriors’ loss, Curry’s extraordinary talent and leadership were on full show the whole game.

However, it seems like Charles Barkley wasn’t too impressed with Stephen Curry’s triple-double.

During the TNT broadcast, Chuck said, “I did not like these last two shots. I thought Draymond had the opportunity to just power over Schroeder as well, but this wasn’t a good shot here period. He took two bad shots down the stretch trying to be a hero.” Despite his best efforts, Curry missed two crucial shots in the final 30 seconds of the game, which didn’t impress Barkley.

However, Shaquille O’Neal believes that the Warriors still have a chance. The fact that Stephen Curry missed the last two shots must have worked up Curry. Shaq is of the opinion that the Warriors will use this loss as fuel for the next game. They will definitely come ready to play the next game.

The Golden State Warriors are now in a pickle as they head toward the 5th game.  The team will now focus on taking advantage of their home-court at Chase Center. They need to win three straight games in order to overcome the 3:1 disadvantage. The path ahead won’t be flowery.
