Although Giannis might be the best player currently, NBA legend Tracy McGrady feels that the Greek Freak would have struggled in his era. Talking on Shaquille O’Neal’s podcast, McGrady talked about Giannis’ game. According to the Hall of Famer, Antetokounmpo’s game will not have flourished in his era.

But NBA Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady has other opinions. According to him, Giannis’ game will not survive in McGrady’s era. McGrady said, ” I think he would have struggled because of how closed up the paint was. It was tough offensively because the defense was so great.”

He adds, “If you can’t shoot, it’s gonna be hard. And Giannis’ game is predicated on coming downhill. It would have been tough to be who he is today, back then.“

Although Tracy Mcgrady might feel Giannis would not have flourished in his era, the Greek Freak is certainly flourishing in his own era.
