After losing the finals against the Toronto Raptors, the Golden State Warriors failed to make the playoffs in the next season as Stephen Curry only played 6 games due to injury. At the height of their struggles at the beginning of the decade, the Warriors drafted the 7’1” center, James Wiseman. The Warriors drafted him as the second overall pick hoping to change their fortunes at the center position.

But despite the dominating performance, the Warriors have decided to make some significant changes to the roster. After the game, in a shocking revelation, coach Steve Kerr announced that James Wiseman would be making his way to the G-League. Moreover, Kerr emphasized that he would be there for an extended period of 10 days.

The Warriors struggled with the departure of Kevin Durant and injury layoffs to Curry. With the worst record in the league, they landed the second pick in the draft. They used it to acquire Wiseman from Memphis. However, Wiseman has not lived up to the expectations.

In his three seasons in the league, Wiseman has played only 50 games. He suited up for a mere 39 games in his rookie season due to an injury that also sidelined him for the entire season last year. Moreover, Wiseman’s production so far has also struggled.
