Trae Young Making a “GOAT” Enemy Sends NBA Twitter Into Meltdown

Trae Young is having a fantastic season with the Atlanta Hawks. The team is very close to the playoffs stage as they have crushed the Charlotte Hornets 132-103. Young was very impressive in Atlanta’s victory. They will now face the Cleveland Cavaliers for the eighth spot. Young also got a reaction out of a certain legendary former player called Michael Jordan.

Jordan is one of the greatest ever, but it wasn’t a great day for him as he is the co-owner of the Charlotte Hornets. After the game, ESPN Sports center posted a video of Jordan reacting to Young’s game and this team’s loss. He was getting up and leaving after the loss. The account also apparently gave an “icy” touch to it for maximum effect.

Social Media Reactions to Trade Young and Jordan’s video

Fans from NBA Twitter and Instagram couldn’t contain themselves upon seeing the video. Instagram fans thought Jordan was disgusted by his team’s lack of intensity and took the loss “personally”. Some fans thought that he was coming out of retirement with the way he left his seat. Some even wrote that Trae Young created a new enemy in Michael Jordan.

Twitter reactions were no different as they ranged from praising Young to mocking Jordan for the loss.

Trae Young: 2021-22 season

Young has had a fantastic season with the Atlanta Hawks. He averaged around 28.4 ppg in the regular season, which only put him below Embiid, Giannis, and Doncic in the NBA. Trae also had 9.7 assists per game, which made him 3rd in the entire league.

He coincidentally also surpassed Michael Jordan for the 12th-most games (39) with 30+ points and 10+ assists in NBA history. There is also a big chance that he will be included in the All NBA First team for his performances throughout the season.

The young player absolutely dominated the Hornets today as he scored 24 points and had 11 assists. He also had a +/- differential of +27. He was supported really well by Capella, Hunter, and Gallinari as they destroyed their opponents. The Hawks with Young will very much look forward to the game against the Cavaliers to get a place in the playoffs. As for the Hornets, Jordan has to look to improve the team to ensure that they reach the playoffs next time.

Will Young be in the All NBA First Team? Will the Hawks beat the Cavaliers to get into the Playoff spots? The game is on Friday and we will have to see who goes through.
