Hours before the trade deadline on 9th February, Patrick Beverely celebrated D’Angelo Russell‘s return to the Los Angeles Lakers. Joy radiated through his social media profile as he geared up to reunite with Russell, his former Timberwolves teammate. However, moments later, the joy vanished after news broke that the Orlando Magic acquired Beverely from the Lakers. In this trade deal, the Lakers received NBA Star Mo Bamba. While the NBA World absorbed the shock, days after this deal, there was another development in the Beverely story. A report read that the Chicago Bulls were all set to buyout and sign the guard. Following this, Beverely had a five-word warning for LeBron James and co.

Toward the end of March, the Bulls and Lakers play two games against each other – allowing Beverely to play against his former team. On the NBA Star’s podcast, his co-host Rone asked him about the emotions leading up to this match-up. Beverely bluntly said, “Knock them (the Lakers) out of the playoffs.” That is his goal, and his co-host loved the answer. Beverely is locked in to seek vengeance and as videos of this stern warning made rounds online, fans rushed to respond to the same.
