Stephen Curry is one of the highest-paid players in the league. For a player of that caliber, it’s no wonder why the 4-time champion is capable of earning more than $50 million a year.

Nonetheless, another young guard has already taken over 2-time MVP for his fifth season.

After his first unanimous MVP in 2016, Curry got a massive bag for a crucial role he continues to play for the Warriors. The 35-year-old was the first ever NBA player to sign a contract worth $200 million in the NBA back in 2017. Two championships later, Curry signed another $215 million extension in 2021.

In the very next season, he claimed his fourth ring with the Warriors. For a span of 2190 days or 7 years approximately, the sharpshooter was the highest-paid player in the NBA until a few hours back!

Veteran point guard Tyrese Halliburton recently signed an extension worth $260 million for a span of five years. This now makes him the highest-paid player for the upcoming NBA season with $52 million. Stephen Curry is a few thousand short of Halliburton with $51,915,615.

Though the Warriors fans might not love this, Halliburton was on cloud nine!
