After his first unanimous MVP in 2016, Curry got a massive bag for a crucial role he continues to play for the Warriors. The 35-year-old was the first ever NBA player to sign a contract worth $200 million in the NBA back in 2017. Two championships later, Curry signed another $215 million extension in 2021.
In the very next season, he claimed his fourth ring with the Warriors. For a span of 2190 days or 7 years approximately, the sharpshooter was the highest-paid player in the NBA until a few hours back!

Veteran point guard Tyrese Halliburton recently signed an extension worth $260 million for a span of five years. This now makes him the highest-paid player for the upcoming NBA season with $52 million. Stephen Curry is a few thousand short of Halliburton with $51,915,615.
Though the Warriors fans might not love this, Halliburton was on cloud nine!

Chef Curry managed to bag such a huge contract only after winning the 2015 championship, an MVP, and an impeccable 73-9 record in the 2016-17 season. Halliburton is yet to make such a huge impact though his gameplay last season was very promising.
