“Got Slammed by Someone Smaller Than Him”: UFC Fighter and Thousands Others Left Stunned by Disturbing Brawl During NBA Game

The ugly on-court brawl during the Friday night game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Orlando Magic left the US sporting world in utter disbelief. Recently, NBA fans have witnessed several altercations among players during the games. Following a nasty fight between Donovan Mitchell and Dillion Brooks on Thursday night, Austin Rivers and Mo Bamba exchanged punches in a bust-up. Following the incident, an American UFC star joined fans in reacting to the fight.
During the third quarter, Magic big man Bamba and Wolves guard Rivers engaged in an intense fight on the sidelines. Notably, Bamba stood up and threw a punch when Rivers approached the Magic’s bench. Eventually, teammates, staff members, and officials also got involved in trying to break up the fight. Furthermore, the referees ejected five players, and fans expect the league to slap heavy fines and suspensions as well.

The reason behind the fight is still unclear, but the refs ejected Wolves players Taurean Prince and Jaden McDaniels and Orlando’s Jalen Suggs alongside Rivers and Bambo. Following the ejection, Mo Bamba took to his Instagram story to share a cryptic message on the brawl. ESPN’s Instagram handle shared the story along with the video clip of the fight. Thousands of fans swarmed social media comments with reactions and opinions including the American mixed-martial artist Eryk Anders. He took to the comments section of the Instagram post and wrote, “They keep fighting like this I might start watching bball again.”

Following that the Memphis star Dillion Brooks engaged in a brawl with Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell during Thursday night’s game.
