“Uh Oh.. Don’t Cry!”: Draymond Green Mocks Dejected NCAA Youngster After Intense March Madness Tussle

The NCAA Tournament, popularly known as March Madness, is at its peak and it’s bringing out the competitive spirit in everyone. Even in an ex-collegiate athlete like Draymond Green. On March 19th, the Michigan State Spartans basketball team squared off against the Marquette Golden Eagles in a game to decide which team would move on to the Sweet Sixteen. The Spartans emerged as victors, bringing up the heat among their alumni and fans.

Meanwhile, Draymond Green, a former Michigan player, didn’t let go of the opportunity to gloat in front of his television after the Spartans’ win. The Dubs star also ended up mocking the Marquette Golden Eagles players for crying after the loss, while simultaneously dragging two NBA stars into the whole fiasco.

The seventh-seeded Spartans pulled off a stunning upset over the second-seeded Golden Eagles in the second round of the NCAA tournament. With a score of 69-60, the Spartans advanced to the Sweet 16.

One of the most vocal supporters of Michigan State, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, shared a clip of the Spartans’ victory on his Instagram stories. The clip also displayed a few Marquette players crying after the devastating loss. Green couldn’t let go of the golden opportunity and said, Uh oh, oh, don’t cry. Oh, don’t cry.”

He also dragged two familiar NBA names Juan Toscano-Anderson and Dwyane Wade, both former Eagles players, into his monologue.Tell him, Juan T, don’t cry. D-Wade, gotta tell him, man, don’t cry. Boys can’t be crying out here.”

Draymond led his team to the NCAA tournament every year while he played for MSU. He is one of the three players in the history of Michigan State to achieve over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

What’s next for the Spartans?

The game between the Spartans and the Marquettes was intense. However, the seventeen-seeded team was successful in pulling off an upset. They will now move forward to the Eastern Region Semifinals. Tyson Walker of Michigan State scored 15 of his 23 points in the final 8:52 of the game. While Joey Hauser contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds, A.J. Hoggard scored 13 points and had four assists despite committing five turnovers. Mady Sissoko contributed eight points, ten rebounds, and two blocked shots in the final two minutes of the game despite finishing with four fouls.

The Spartans will play No. 3 seed Kansas State in the East Region semifinals as a result of this victory. The only time Michigan State has reached the Sweet 16 in the last six NCAA tournaments was in 2019, during their journey to the Final Four.
