Ever since her NCAA championship win, LSU Tigers star Angel Reese continues to remain in the spotlight. After facing fans’ wrath for her controversial antics during the Championship game and her comments on visiting the White House, Reese has come up with another polarizing statement. Discussing her plans for the future, the 20-year-old subtly threw shade at the WNBA players. It’s now looking increasingly likely that Reese will be back next year to defend the title.

Reese received a lot of support from several basketball stars and her supposed rival, Caitlin Clark herself played down any potential disrespect that she may have felt coming from Reese. With the focus of a majority of the basketball community on her, Reece made her plans for the future clear recently.

It seems like Angel Reese does not care about the fans’ shade or wrath. To honor LSU’s championship win, First Lady Jill Biden invited both the teams that participated in the Championship game to the White House. Angel Reese, who did not like the gesture as it undermined her team’s efforts, declined the invitation initially. However, the 20-year-old later revealed she will join her team for the visit to the White House after President Joe Biden continued with the tradition of inviting only the champions.

Even after fans ambushed her on social media for changing her decision, Reese does not seem to care about it. Revealing her plans on if she will join the WNBA, the LSU guard mentioned, “I’m in no rush… The money I’m making is more than some of the people in the league, that might be top players,” apparently throwing shade at the state of the league.

It’s no doubt Reese played an important role in LSU’s historic championship. However, her controversial claims might end up creating unnecessary noise. Nonetheless, it seems like the 6’3 forward might run it back in the NCAA next year. Though it is a great time for Reese to enter the WNBA, the LSU star believes she might have some more time in the NCAA.

Will Reese rejoin the NCAA or make it to the WNBA?

After revealing she does not want to rush things, Reese will probably run it back with the LSU Tigers. Though she might not have the same teammates next year, Reese and LSU will look to bag another NCAA title after making history by winning the program’s first championship in the women’s division.

Considering her impact on the team, there are high chances Reese will make her mark on the WNBA sooner rather than later. However, the fans might have to wait for a few more years to see her ball in the big league.
