The Los Angeles Lakers were looking to make it two in a row as they faced the San Antonio Spurs in back-to-back games. The Lakers managed to take down San Antonio in their last game with the return of LeBron James. Both James and Davis had good outings for the game as the Spurs weren?t able to get the upper hand. But things ended up getting out of hand during the game.

Los Angeles is still in the latter half of the Western Conference. Their record stands at 6-11, and they are looking to make it 7-11 by defeating the Spurs again. Lonnie Walker IV, a former San Antonio Spur has been a bright light for the Lakers these past few weeks.?

Westbrook left the game all bloodied up

Walker really helped Davis in the scoring load during James? absence due to injury. Another ray of hope has been Austin Reaves, who has shown signs of being a good scorer if given the minutes to play. Westbrook too has been coming into form but will miss out on time once again.

With two minutes left in the third, Westbrook grabbed an offensive rebound of his own missed shot. As he went up, Spurs? Zach Collins may have extended his arms in order to block Westbrook which collided with his forehead.

And Westbrook was livid after that collision. He charged right at Collins to confront him but was stopped by both team?s players and officials. Westbrook was bleeding profusely all over the court.

LeBron James stepped in to take Westbrook away from the whole altercation. And the Lakers training staff rushed to the floor with towels for Westbrook to hold against his wound. Westbrook had blood rushing down his forehead.

Even LeBron James was shaken up

James held Russ and took the towel away from the staff to hold to his forehead as Westbrook still seemed a bit shaken up. Even the expression of James could tell that he was worried about Westbrook.

Now, it is unclear whether it was an intentional foul or not. But Collins was jawing back at Westbrook as he ran into him after the collision. But by the looks of it, it seems as if Westbrook will be missing out on some games due to the injury.

The Lakers will now have lost two of their point guards in the last three games. Patrick Beverley is still facing a three-game suspension and Westbrook will be out indefinitely. The Los Angeles Lakers versus the San Antonio Spurs game got a little more action than everyone had asked for.
