Superstar LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are off to one of the worst starts to their season. The Lakers took their eighth defeat after losing 116-139 to the Utah Jazz. They stand 14th on the Western Conference table with just two wins and eight losses. For the lakers fanbase, this has proven to be painful. However, the fans have been through this rodeo before and now they are experiencing flashbacks of the same.

The 2014-15 season was a forgettable one for the Lakers. By the end of the regular season, they were placed 14th on the table with only 21 wins and 61 losses. They started the season with a 2-9 record. For the fans, the similarity between that season and the present one is rather uncanny.

LeBron James and the Lakers’ performance brings back daunting memories

Fans were quick to make a connection between the two seasons. A highlight of a Lakers game from the 2014-15 season is doing the rounds on Twitter. This reminded the fans of one of their worst seasons in recent history and they share their reaction to the highlight or rather a blooper. However, many claimed the 2014 roster would still beat the current team. Fans also stated that there is no difference between both the rosters and gameplays.

Fans didn’t fail to mention that the 2014-15 team had an excuse for the poor performance. A back injury ruled Steve Nash out for the season. On the other hand, Kobe Bryant underwent shoulder surgery mid-season.

Solace was found in the fact that a young team was being groomed. Nevertheless, the season was embarrassing.

However, now with the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, the story is different.
