Vanessa Bryant and Kobe Bryant shared a wonderful relationship. In addition to being one of Kobe’s close friends, she was also his first girlfriend before they got married. The love he felt for her was the first love he ever had. Their marriage has always been a good example of what love truly is.

Their romance began when they met back in 1999, and they got engaged just six months later. A few years later, they tied the knot. Afterward, they had four beautiful daughters: Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri. Many people wished to know the secret of their successful and supportive marriage.

Kobe once disclosed the key to his marriage’s success following an appearance on Showtime Basketball’s All the Smoke. According to him: “Competitiveness of we’re going to succeed” sustained the couple over the years.

During an interview, she expressed her feelings about the choice of her husband, saying that Kobe is all she wanted in a life partner. Vanessa also said that Kobe was able to maintain his marriage with Vanessa because of winning five rings.

“I love basketball. And I know what goes on behind the scenes, so I have a different perspective on things, but still, I do. I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can’t win championships. If you’re sacrificing time away from my family and myself for the benefit of winning championships, then winning a championship should happen every single year.”
