Vanessa Bryant and family to be part of the ceremony

With the ceremony scheduled to take place in May this year, it has been revealed that Vanessa and the rest of the family want a significant role in it. Long back, they removed the policy of family members giving live speeches. However, this might change this year.

As per the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame CEO, John Doleva, “I had the opportunity to speak very briefly with Mrs. Bryant and she was very appreciative and very emotional. She has certainly indicated to be very involved. She and her family and others, in his enshrinement ceremony, when it happens.

“People are going to want to hear about Kobe personally, not just a vignette,” Doleva explained. “Whether that’s his wife or his teammates or a combination thereof.”
